Chancha via Circuito discloses vibrant visuals for "Coplita" [Video Premiere]

The first time I heard Chancha via Circuito's (a.k.a. Pedro Canales) music was by mere chance. Starting the third game of billiards a group of us were playing on a Christmas Eve in Berlin, the music coming out of the speakers caught my attention instantly. A flurry of ethereal flutes flying across dazzled drum patterns were played back to back like a mantra of some sort. After learning that the name of the record spinning was Rio Arriba produced by the Argentinian native, Chancha via Circuito, I obsessively played it from there on. Not surprisingly, substantial outlets like XLR8R, New York Times, and even NPR had high regards of the album, as well– all naming it one of 2010's best albums.

Fast forward four years and we finally get the announcement of a (much anticipated) follow up album. Readied under the Brooklyn-based label, Wonderwheel Recordings, the coming together of both label and producer is a solid combination sure to bear a promising outcome. With the album's first single, "Coplita", just coming fresh off the press, EARMILK's got the first look at the official music video put together for the song. Otherworldly and vivid colors follow the lead of Miriam Garcia's whirling vocals & Canales' slow-moving tropical filled instrumentation. Follow the quixotic and extravagant journey  while you're riding a dragon across the universe and let your imagination roam freely.

While further information on the album itself is still limited, you can now purchase the single in either digital or physical format via Bandcamp here.
