It's no secret that until this year, the UK hip hop scene had been floundering somewhat. The glory days of old had been and gone, with the majority of UK rappers looking up to their American counterparts, it had seemed like the scene over in the British Isles had been confined to the underground. Alas, 2013 rolls around and a whole host of young and hungry emcee's have stepped up to the plate to give UK hip hop a much needed shot in the arm. The likes of Paper Plates, Confz, ThisisDA and Shane Chubbz have all graced EARMILK this year so far, with each artist proving their own individual worth in reviving the UK scene.

Today, we have a track featuring three of the aforementioned rappers, and they've all come together to create one of the best tracks to come out of Britain this year. "Queen Rich" is the brand new single from Norwich native Paper Plates, who's reasonably long musical hiatus left a lot of his fans needing more music from him, and now they finally have some in the the form of "Queen Rich". Together with fellow Englishmen Confz & ThisisDA, they lyrically bob and weave their way through dope beat produced by Toronto native Jay Bee, with both style and grace. As Paper Plates breaks down life after finishing university, whilst Confz and DA both show their clever wordplay, with references to Wu Tang, Iggy Azalea and T.I amongst my favourite lines within this track. Jay Bee's eclectic sound on the instrumental sets the perfect backdrop for each individual flow, whilst the drums keep the track ticking over nicely.

"Queen Rich" is the second single taken from the forthcoming collaboration project between Paper Plates and Jay Bee entitled Bachelor Of Arts which is set for release very soon. Meanwhile Confz is currently working alongside Distinction on his forthcoming mixtape RVST, and Bristol born ThisisDA is putting the finishing touches to his brand new album Super Arkane, which should be out really soon. For now, you can stream "Queen Rich" below, and keep your eyes and ears locked onto EARMILK for any forthcoming new music from these three hot emcee's.
