Not sure if I already told you this, but the The Bloody Beetroots single-handedly led my leap into the world of gritty, hard electro house music. I mean, who can resist a stellar remix of a classic track (Michael Sembello’s “She’s A Maniac”), especially one that reaches into BPMs that hitherto remained unknown to me. Since then Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo has continued to surprise the electronic community, most recently the biggest one being his collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney. But today, he takes a step back towards his roots in a remix of the French Jackson & His Computer Band’s track, “ARP”. Much of the original’s metallic feel and snare rolls remain, but Sir Bob assuredly takes the song to another dimension with heavy drops and heightened melodies. Listen to both versions below and keep a look out for our exclusive guide to HARD Day of the Dead with The Bloody Beetroots.
