Julian Malone seemed to blend in perfectly with the other left-field hip-hop artists signed to L.A. label Stones Throw, following in the footsteps of eclectic minds like DOOM and Madlib. When news came a few months ago that he was parting was with the label, we were sad to hear it. Along with artists like Chance the Rapper, he is part of a new wave of young Chicago emcees pushing unique sounds to the forefront of the hip-hop scene in their city. Now going by Ju' Malone, the rapper is looking for a fresh start with the October release of his mix-tape Diff.Rnt.

The new self-produced single "Let Me Go" features a Ju' Malone confident of what the future has in store for him. He covers the muffled guitar riffs with quirky references, quickening his rhyme delivery towards the end before parting with a whisper. This new single builds on the excited surrounding this new project, with the talent that got him noticed by the legendary label on show.

You should definitely be checking for the Diff.Rnt mix-tape, which is scheduled to drop on October 1st.
