Djemba Djemba – I Just Go [EP Premiere]

In the midst of a whirlwind of young producers making a stamp in the future bass/808 industry, a single Los Angeles based crew is getting major heat as of late.  The Melt, as they are named is not only a crew of forward-thinking producers but also a monthly club night hosted by the group. The Melt crew includes artists such as FuzZ, Snorlax, Gossamer, Kloud, Moiety and today's showcase, Djemba Djemba.

Djemba Djemba, has gained much attention, not only in his hometown of Los Angeles but throughout the world. What makes his sounds unique are the rhythmic 90's style synths and crushing 808 kicks that scour each and every track. Today Djemba Djemba releases his newest 2 song EP entitled I Just Go through the exclusive Mad Decent/Jeffrees label, and EARMILK is here to premiere it to the world.

The songs "I Jus Go" and "Oh Ok Yeah That's Cool" contrast each other perfectly in the EP. "I Jus Go"  is a more relaxed tune with epic synth chords mixed in with flashy kicks and snares to fill in the track. Every time you listen to this song you'll hear something completely new and enticing. "Oh Ok Yeah That's Cool" is more of a heavy trap banger, if you will. Yet if you really listen it is so much more than that. The airy transitional builds start off the song and instantly the elastic-type synths take over completely. The chord progressions are truly inspiring and show off the true talent in Djemba Djemba's work. He shows that this was not just quickly put together to fit in with the mainstream style, but that it was a labor of love and years of hard work. He has been around for a number of years now, creating the same beats from day one.

Djemba Djemba – I Just Go (JEFF030) by Mad Decent

Be sure to view the official video of Djemba Djemba's track "Oh Ok Yeah That's Cool." This video fits perfectly with the song, quite hilarious and somewhat disturbing at the same time, but all fun nonetheless.
