Celebrating the cultural beauty of Latinx music across the U.S, Red Bull announced their 2020 Red Bull Estados Unidos de Bass showcase. The live stream aims to showcase Latinx artists and producers from Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco. The virtual series will serve as the follow-up to the 2019 "Red Bull Estados Unidos de Bass" and will return with a few familiar faces including Sky Rompiendo, Happy Colors, SpydaT.E.K, Hype Turner and Clips X Ahoy. The upcoming event is set to shine light on the extensive range of Latinx sounds like Reggaeton, Latin Trap, Global Bass, and much more. Returning as the 2020 co-curator, is the multi-platinum, Grammy-winning producer Frank "El Medico" Rodriguez.
The three-week series is set to kick off on December 4th via Mixcloud and will feature consecutive weekends packed with livestreams from more than 30 artists across the five cities. The setup will allow for artists from two of the five cities to perform for each day of the series. While there will be plenty of returning artists, the event will also boast sets from a few fan favorites including Grammy and Latin Grammy-nominated Kali Uchis, DJ/producer Maceo Plex, and Karol G producer/collaborator Ovy On The Drums. To further commemorate the complete uniqueness of Latinx culture, Red Bull has also commissioned visual artists from the differing coasts. Viewers will be able to see collaborative visuals from Milkman, KneetoFace aka Danielle Estefan, and Julian Duron with creative direction from distinguished muralist Austin "Jiminai" Cashell and artist and designer Ivana Cruz. The full schedule and line-up will be announced soon but you can find more details here.
