Sauna Radio releases 'Various Artists Vol. 1' & joins forces with Bisou to celebrate community and support Palestine

Sauna Radio began with a simple yet inventive idea: to create a community radio inside a real sauna.

Since its first broadcasts in the summer of 2025, it has become a one-of-a-kind space in Stockholm, Sweden, offering a weekly showcase for the best artists from the Swedish and Scandinavian electronic scene, alongside international guests performing in the city.

Originally airing from a floating sauna on Lake Mälaren beside Eden Bastun, Sauna Radio has since moved indoors for its autumn–winter sessions at Hosoi, while retaining the warm, communal energy that defined its open-air beginnings. Every Saturday, Sauna Radio hosts live DJ sets, performances, poetry readings, and talks, creating a welcoming meeting point between music and community.

Various Artists Vol. 1 gathers some of the artists who helped shape that journey.

Featuring MOLØ, Abstraxion & Bella Sarris, Sean Fender, Peder Mannerfelt, Staffan Lindberg, Julia Wallin, and Brenda El Rayes, the compilation reflects both the diversity and the strong identity of today’s Scandinavian electronic scene.

To celebrate the release of Various Artists Vol. 1, a special fundraiser for Palestine will be held on Saturday, December 5th.

Sauna Radio is joining forces with Bisou — a Stockholm-based collective founded by Sauna Radio’s creator Harold Boué, celebrating freedom, expression, and queer joy.

On the creation of Sauna Radio, Boué says: “Sauna Radio was built modestly with heart. As the year comes to a close, we wanted to bring our community, artists, friends, and listeners together around music and shared values — a reminder that when we unite, something meaningful always happens.”

Across two spaces, Hosoi and Bar15, over 30 Swedish artists will come together for a night of music, performance, and solidarity. Expect hybrid sets, live shows, drag performances, and pure energy.

Are you in Sweden on Friday, December 5th or thinking of hopping over for a good cause? Here are the details:
