Female rock three-piece Velvet Two Stripes delves into their journey and resilience on multi-faceted album No Spell For Moving Water, a nine-track collection that weaves a message on moving onwards and upwards in life.

Taking us along on their meandering path through the underground and the music industry, the album brims with their ever-evolving raw rock sound and touches of contemporary pop as it celebrates liberation and remaining free as long as you keep moving forward – much like flowing water.

With an experimental core and an edgy freshness that speaks to the band’s penchant for experimentation, the album which came to life on trips across the rusty railway bridge on the Columbia River encapsulates a journey, unfolding as a compilation of stories on life and nothing holding you back.

Consisting of sisters Sophie and Sara Diggelmann on vocals and guitar, with Franca Mock on bass, Velvet Two Stripes who have established themselves as an act that keeps up a constant musical momentum over their 15-year history continue to zero in on versatility and creativity with each new release.
