Gia Woods is a new, up-and-coming pop artist, based in Los Angeles. She is an LGTQ icon and represents everything grandeur to her fans. She has influences from legends like Madonna, which is clear to see in her aesthetic and musical sound. She recently released her second EP, Heartbreak County, Vol.1 in October of last year and will be delivering the second part of the EP, Heartbreak County, Vol.2 in October of this year. This new Ep features the incredible track, “Cover Girl”.

The track begins with a fleeting synth, taking us on a journey as it passes back and forth through the listeners' ears. Vivacious, hard-hitting drums lay underneath this synth, making the track feel complete. Listeners are taken on an electric journey. Gia’s background vocals pop and flutter during the chorus. When singing, she brings her iconic voice, one from a generation of it girls. She expresses her grievances with the LA lifestyle, saying, “What a world when you're everyone's baby”. This song is definitely one for lovers of electropop.

Gia shared an eye-catching teaser of the song on her Instagram, along with the showing of a massive billboard, exciting many fans, and new listeners. Gia Woods is definitely stirring the pot with her distinct style and sound. She is an influence to many after sharing her difficult coming-out journey. She will be an exciting artist to watch, especially after the release of her new EP.
