British-Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress Lucianne (formerly known as Luci Monet) kicks off 2022 with the visuals for her sultry single "More." Bolstered by Majeek's R&B and afrobeat infused backdrop ripe with warm chords, smooth textures, and hypnotic drum grooves, Lucianne waxes lyrical about an online attraction that she desperately wants to take offline. Armed with her angelic melodic runs and a confident persona, Lucianne doesn't hold back from expressing what she really wants in this situation. Her performance is sensual and her fusion of English and Nigerian pidgin English is seamless as well.
The song also comes with a fitting virtual reality themed music video directed by Doyin Ajakaye for Simplicity Studios that explores the line between a fantasy online world, where Lucianne gets to be with her online attraction, and real-life, where it’s all in her imagination, begging the question whether the virtual world can ever actually become our reality. "More" is the first taste from the East London native's forthcoming comeback EP titled Becoming under her own newly formed independent label RIV Records.
As an actor, she has made a name for herself in the second largest film industry in the world, Nollywood, with starring roles in films such as Three Thieves (Netflix) and Dark Room. As a singer, she officially started her music career in 2016 with her seminal track "Ijo" featuring Mista Silva.
