It's been a minute since we've heard from solo Kidnap Kid. The Sheffield, UK-based producer started out 2017 with an impressive collaboration with Lane 8, entitled "Aba." Both Anjunadeep favorites, they've each in their own right pushed boundaries of what we think of as deep house. Bringing in elements of progressive house together with their low key underground beats, Kidnap Kid and his contemporaries like Lane 8 are emerging with a new genre taking a share of house music's appeal. We'll call it organic house for now, as it takes in elements from the natural world to tell a story through music.
His latest furthers this new mantra. Entitled "Where The Sea Swings In Like An Iron Gate," the track's title pushes this home even more, bringing nature and its sounds into our primary listening frame. Of course, this track is out via Anjunadeep.
