Sampha – "Let It All" (Feat. Scrufizzer)

The U.K. has a knack for producing some of the most breathtaking vocalists that have ever graced music. From the likes of Adele and Emeli Sandé to the now departed Amy Winehouse, Britain has produced some truly memorable singers. 2013 is the year that people started to pay attention to another vocalist from the British Isles, Sampha.

The London native, who has previously worked with the likes of SBTRKT, Jessie Ware, and Lil Silva, shot into the hip-hop spotlight with his collaborations with Canadian superstar Drake. His soulful touches to "The Motion" and more recently "Too Much" elevated his profile and found him a whole new set of fans. And for his latest track, "Let It All", Sampha has called on fellow Londoner Scrufizzer. The originator of the "fizzy flow," Scrufizzer is known for his unique rapping style, but he tones it down for this song, taking a more Chance The Rapper approach.

Instead of spitting the fizzy flow and going all out, he almost sings the lyrics, which are accompanied by a smooth and soulful chorus/hook. He keeps the instrumental to this track really simple, with a few piano chords on their own against the vocals, giving the track a "stripped bare" feel.

"Let It All" coincides with the release of Scrufizzer's latest single "Kick It", which was released yesterday via Black Butter Records. The song has more of a house vibe, but it's definitely a head nodder, and Scru really goes off with his flow. He's also released a video for "Kick It", which you can watch below, and the single is out to purchase on iTunes, including remixes from the likes of Zed Bias. Having supported Kendrick Lamar on his U.K. tour earlier this year, it's plain to see that Scrufizzer is starting to build quite a name for himself in the music industry. Keep your eyes and ears locked onto EARMILK for any new music from Scru and Sampha. You can also follow Scrufizzer on Twitter and check out his Soundcloud.
