We are less than two weeks away until Purity Ring releases their highly anticipated debut album, Shrines, on July 24 via 4AD. To keep up the universal buzz surrounding the band, today they released the video accompaniment for "Fineshrine". Having already displayed their beautifully perplexing aesthetic in the "Belispeak" video, fans could approach the "Fineshrine" video expecting the unexpected. With grisly lyrics discussing human dismemberment (Cut up my sternum and pull / my little ribs around you), slight apprehension towards the "unexpected" would be an acceptable disposition.
As opposed to me detailing the video, I would say just watch it and be prepared to say "WTF" afterwards. The Young Replicant directed video masterfully captures the artistic complexion of Purity Ring while simultaneously illustrating the deep-seated romanticism of the lyrics.

Purity Ring has just started their North American tour and will be in NYC on their record's release date, July 24 for an in-the-round show at Le Poisson Rouge.
