Dogviolet captures the frivolous joy of youth on nostalgic offering "Daisy Crowns"

London-based ethereal-grunge four piece Dogviolet captures the feeling of nostalgia towards frivolous joy of youth on “Daisy Crowns,” weaving haunting shoegaze with a theatrical flourish, emotive vocals and poignant lyricism.

Laden with delicacy and vulnerability, the track draws from personal experiences of caring for a loved one experiencing mental health crisis to encapsulate the relatability of burnout under the weights and responsibilities of adulthood. Built on a layered, atmospheric soundscape spanning tender synths, stack guitars and ethereal vocal tones, the track reflects a fragility through every note.

Speaking of the track, they say, “The song is about feeling burnt out and wanting to return to simpler times. I can’t go back to being a child with no responsibilities, so the chorus is me asking for help from those close to me, which is something I struggle with. I love performing Daisy Crowns live as it’s so beautiful when the audience sings with us – it embodies that feeling of being taken care of in hard times.”

Having carved out niche for themselves with their haunting yet deep blend of 80s goth, 90s grunge, shoegaze, and alternative rock, the quartet continue to shape a profound artistry that feels polished and raw all at once as it unfolds themes of social injustice, familial challenges and sapphic desire underpinned by equal parts dark sonic hues and restrained delivery.

Leading us into their captivating, immersive world with quiet confidence, Dogviolet continue to establish themselves as a spellbinding act who keep evolving with each new release.
