Cult Fiction unveils the contents in the “Devil’s Dictionary” featuring elZhi and Grap Luva [Video]

Northern Virginia-based hip-hop outfit Cult Fiction is currently working on their forthcoming album Stranger Than Fiction, but in the interim, they thrill audiences with the latest gem "Devil's Dictionary" featuring Detroit emcee elZhi (formerly of Slum Village) and Grap Luva (Pete Rock's younger sibling). "Devil's Dictionary" is a masterclass in lyricism laced with thought-provoking themes that explore social engineering, spiritualism, and the never-ending search for the meaning of life. Over the grimy, scenic soundscape comprising brooding strings, anthemic horns, and crunchy drum breaks, the trio shares their thoughts on religion, good and evil, and the paradox that ties us to the unknown. They put forth the questions that continue to boggle our minds while imploring us to break free of the generational and social conditioning that anchors us to obsolete ideas.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, Cult Fiction frontman Rafik Bishay has worked on material with Chad Hugo from NERD/The Neptunes, Fish Scales from Nappy Roots, Von Pea, and more.
