Chi-town-born, LA-based singer/songwriter Turestrl is a first-generation Caribbean artist who brings a refreshing and unique musical style that encompasses his Jamaican and Trinidad and Tobago roots with a touch of R&B/hip-hop. His latest release titled "One Place" is a laidback reflective tune produced by LoneGud and made up of warm pads, soft but groovy drums and the singer's distinct melodic approach. Here, he talks about self-awareness and having faith to push through the hard times. He delivers his lines with a calm demeanour as he reassures himself with lines like "I put ma faith inna one place/Make sure my heart inna good space/Turn on ma mind when it's starry".
"One Place" also comes with a befitting video shot by Sebastian F Music that captures Turestrl's laidback style and uses a mix of performance shots and cut scenes as he moves through different spots in the city. The overall feel of the video is sombre and somewhat introspective as well.
