Rising hip-hop and R&B artist Spence Lee has been turning heads since signing with Mike Will Made It, Eardrummers, and 88Rising. With a catalog of songs like Arriba and Nothing 2 Lose, it's not hard to see why. A wide range of versatility across genres makes Spence Lee all the more intriguing to current (and potential) fans. From guitar-driven trap songs, to slow songs reliant on catchy bass rhythms, Spence maximizes his artistry with every chance he gets and refuses to be pigeonholed as an artist.
His latest song, Spend My Days, serves as further proof of this creative versatility, taking a slower, acoustic approach to RnB. Luxurious melodies flow into the chorus, "I will send all my days with you", while slow and low vocals serve as the perfect ad-lib track. From the thrilling high-pitched keys to the angelic vocal effects, Spence combines an old-school style with his own creative vision to make, what we can only assume, will be a long-lasting classic. To top it all off, Spend My Days, was released alongside an accompanying music video – providing Spence's creative vision in video format. Creatively crafted and carefully designed, fans get to experience a unique set of visual effects (like my personal favourite, the "wrist-watch zoom-in"). The video takes the project to another level, showing us Spence Lee spending his days as he said he would. A work of art, Spend My Days is not a project to be missed.
