Filmmaker LeGrand Leseur and his media brand Shamada Productions are quickly taking the entertainment industry by storm. With a background in short film and content creation for artists and celebrities, Leseur has quickly made a name for himself as one of the top and busiest people in film and content creation.
Leseur's passion for movies began at a young age, as he spent many summers going to the movies with his father. Fast forward to the pandemic, he decided to learn how to film movies, bought a cheap $500 Canon camera, and used it to film his first horror short film, "Grandmas and Ladybugs.” To his surprise, it went on to win nine film festival awards and other accolades, which helped him realize that film was meant to be.
Since then, Leseur has upgraded his gear and started filming artists and nightclubs around Boston. The filmmaker has set himself apart from other content creators because of his focus on cinematic work. His background in studying movies enables him to make something that looks more than just a recap video, and he strives to create content that could be brought to the big screen at any moment.
Leseur has earned himself some notable career highlights, including winning nine awards in film for his first short film, working with Jagermeister and The Rock for their annual meeting, working in media at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami with Juliet Fox, and working with some of his favorite artists such as Carl Cox, James Hype, Adam Beyer, Thy Art Is Murder, NGHTMRE and Waka Flocka Flame and many more in the EDM world. When he was hired to film for Jagermeister and The Rock, Leseur didn't know what it was for initially. However, once he arrived at the location, he was welcomed to Jagermeister stuff everywhere and a cardboard cutout of The Rock. During the practice run, The Rock asked the video guy to get the toast, and Leseur was that video guy.
Looking into the future, Leseur has big aspirations for his brand Shamada Productions. He wants it to become a whole production house like A24 but with a twist. They would fund and work on movies and create content for artists, brands, and restaurants. He dreams of working with some of his favorite Techno artists like Indira Paganotto, Amelie Lens, Nina Kraviz, and Charlotte De Witte, as well as big actors for his upcoming movies.
LeGrand Leseur and Shamada Productions are making waves in the film and content creation industry. With his passion for movies and music, Leseur has already achieved many career highlights and has big aspirations for his brand's future.
