Hamilton-based singer-songwriter Katie Harbour has been on a run since her debut release in 2017. The same year, she moved to Montreal to refine her talent and fine-tune her unique brand of R&B and soul. Now back in her hometown, she has played a handful of live shows and has plans to release new music while stamping her foot on the Toronto music scene.

To set things off, she returns with a new single "baby" which explores the dynamics of finding new love and dealing with past trauma. The record is produced by her longtime friend Jay who laces her with sublime textures peppered by punchy spaced-out drums that allow Katie to really flex her vocal range. The singer dives deep into the situation as she confesses to having growing feelings for a certain individual but at the same time she was plagued by personal grief and the tug and pull of it all started to affect her in some ways. She acknowledges how good it feels to be loved but also finds the strength to let things go in order to find true happiness and safety.
