Jeffrey Chan dances through queer desire and truth on electrifying new EP "Boys Like Us"

Australian-born, LA-based pop Jeffrey Chang returns with "Boys Like Us" a cocky, beat-slicked five-track EP that pounds with the heart of queer lust, attention, and unapologetic swagger. Running to just over 16 minutes, the electrifying suite is a compressed celebration of everything messy, magnetic and magical about queer existence.

At the core of "Boys Like Us" is a firm intention to celebrate queerness not only as an identity but also as an experience, raw, euphoric, and unmediated. Chan blends club-ready production with personal storytelling, addressing love, sex, friendship, and vulnerability in equal parts.

The EP begins with the shimmering “Looking,” a fan-favorite single that wears its heart on its sleeve, blending smoky and sexy, playful elements that are destined to get you moving on the dancefloor. Elsewhere, cuts like “Love It” have this deliciously upfront energy, this glow of confidence and unapologetic self-love that comes from knowing exactly who you are.

It’s Chan’s ear for hooks and lyrical honesty that make "Boys Like Us"  a mirror held up to modern queer life confessional and celebratory in equal measure. His singing here floats between pulsing synths and glossy production, hitting a balance between vulnerability and bravado.

Already building momentum with playlist placements and blog love, "Boys Like Us" signals a career-making moment for Chan. With a headline show in Los Angeles, Pride festival appearances, visuals en route, and exclusive merch drops, the release feels like a bona fide cultural event.

It’s already so much better than it has to be, and unlike these prison bars, "Boys Like Us" is designed for, not against, sweaty club nights, whispered secrets, stolen kisses, and 3 a.m. Uber's home alone. It is, after all, queer pop with purpose sexed-up, sanguine and made, by all means, to be played loud.
