22-year old Caleb Hearn is a singer-songwriter from North Carolina, currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. A truly gifted musician, Caleb uses his rhythmic melodies to convey messages of heartbreak, relationships, and missed opportunities – topics people of all ages can relate to. However, he decided to switch it up a bit on his latest single. Caleb dives into his family roots, remaining authentic and opening himself up to some vulnerability, as he tells us about his relationship with his grandmother. A person he can look up to the most, Caleb writes about the characteristics of his grandma that he aspires to achieve. And he'd be happy to be "1/2 as good as her".

"1/2 as good as her" is the name of Caleb Hearn's new masterpiece, released on March 3, 2023. The song is a heartwarming tale of emotions, taking place over a soft acoustic melody. Filled with storytelling, Caleb dives into the characteristics that make his grandma the woman he knows and loves. "From the way she raised her family, to the person that she married, I'll never see her get it wrong", sings Caleb, both admiring her and aspiring to be like her. And so it goes throughout the track's entirety – pointing out the character traits he wants to achieve one day. The song is an emotional journey start to finish, both musically and story-wise, and about as wholesome as they come. Well done, Caleb Hearn.
