Chinese-American DJ and music producer Eugene Luu teams up with fellow Bay Areatalent Danny Fathom on the vocal version of their track “The Truth,” featuring up-and-coming California rapper Soolie.
The groovy number which was originally released as an instrumental bass house track under Fathom and Luu’s label D:VERSE Music Group is given a whole new dimension with Soolie’s swagger-laden delivery.
Led by intense beats and smooth instrumentals, the anthemic sonics are offset by laid-back rap verses courtesy of Soolie. With Danny having met Soolie when the latter was his Lyft driver, the track came to life as an organic and spontaneous collaboration between the three talents.
With a decade of musical experience behind him, Luu who carved a space for himself through his EDM-infused Chinese Pop artistry has developed a successful creative partnership with Fathom, previously having collaborated on “Just A Thrill,” in 2018. With “The Truth,” being their comeback as a musical pair, they’ve definitely packed a punch.
