Emerging artist Mauvey takes us on an emotional journey through unrequited love on BEFORE THE ALBUM: a love letter to the moons of mars, a collection of seven mesmerising tracks that sway between soulful vocals and powerful verses backdropped by hazy beats and earworm melodies.

Opening with synth-tinged number “1+1=THR33,” the EP delves into the hyperboles of love with ease moving from resisting love to falling into on “Prove It!” While the melancholic yet chaotic vibes of “We Had The Time Of Our Lives Together,” laments on the pain of being ignored, he swerves away into more hopeful tones and second chances on “I Still Get Butterflies For You In My Tummy.”

Dance-pop ballad “Whatchu Gonna Do,” continues in the indulgence of romance, with outro “You Know You’re My Favourite!,” taking this mood forward with its sultry finish. With introspective lyricism and infectious soundscape coming together on this love-letter production, Mauvey blossoms into passionate artist worth keeping on your radar.
