Mancunian & talented songstress LayfullStop is not new to EARMILK and has gifted us with a slew of releases and collaborations in the past. Her latest venture is the self-produced single titled "Family Affair" which shows her versatility as a producer/ singer/ songwriter and rapper simultaneously.
The record has elements of jazz, and hip-hop with soulful elements with its warm keys, head-nodding drum grooves and gritty sample riffs to boot. She opens the track with a hushed rap verse revealing lines about her family and the ups and downs that come with life in general. The track slowly builds up and she flips into a soothing melodic performance on the chorus before closing it out with another fiery rap performance.
The Manchester-based artist has built a name for herself as a solo artist with 2 mixtapes and 2 EPs under her belt and her acclaimed work with fellow Mancunian's Children Of Zeus’ album Travel Light.
