Following the release of her latest single Side Effects which boasts high-quality pop house production, Evalina shares an acoustic version to bring a new mellow edge to her breakout single. Following her successful collaboration with Alfie Cridland & Paul Kay on their new single "Last Day in Paradise", "Side Effects" demonstrates why she’s the next rising star within pop music.
The acoustic version holds a stark contrast to the original, with only Evalina’s powerful voice and a piano she manages to pull off a powerful sound that’s bold and emphatic. Produced by Jo:Ker, there's no surprise when you hear the crystal clear production throughout. With the lyrics being about a relationship falling apart, the acoustic version brings a new deep and wholehearted feel to the meaning.
Speaking on the new single, EVALINA states: “After years of working on my solo music I am incredibly excited to finally be releasing my debut single ‘Side Effects’! This song is very special to me and really feels like the beginning of a new era for me as a solo artist and it felt like an appropriate song to debut with, having been the first song on my set list at each show when I went on tour last year.
Lyrically, she adds that it showcases a more storytelling element to my writing that people may not have heard before in the dance features I’ve released and it’s the most personal song I’ve released so far (and there are many more in the works to follow!!)
