Electronic duo Amiture drops atmospheric production “Thaw,” alongside cinematic visuals that transport us into an ethereal, rhythm-driven sonic world centred around contemporary techno and dance music.
The music video was born out of a collaborative experiment between Amiture’s Jack Whitescarver and New York based filmmaker Cyrus Duff, drawing from the intriguing tropes of corporate-espionage thrillers rooting us in a hypnotic tale that delves into the psychological realities of outwardly powerful figures.
The powerful visual is framed by the thudding, danceable beats and hushed melodies that lend to the darkness and psyched out vibe that Amiture were trying to capture on the track’s soundscape.
Comprised of Jack Whitescarver and Coco Goupil, Amiture was infused with new life when Whitescarver’s experimental yet minimal solo project settled into the lush, hazier guitar productions of Goupil to bring out an instrumentation that weaves intricate but abstract narratives that we find ourselves drawn to deciphering.
