Los Angeles-based classical pianist and composer-turned-songwriter, vocalist, music producer and DJ Lauren Mia delivers yet another prolific melodic techno release.  Coupling of both an instrumental and Mia’s latest vocal release, the ‘Eternal Existence’ EP is out now via Luna Semara’s boutique record imprint Petit Matin.

A two-track EP, ‘Eternal Existence’ features the prolific production “Converge” featuring a dynamic, ethereal vocal contribution from talented Australia-based vocalist Fractures. Sharing on the collaboration, Mia shares “Coming across Fractures to collaborate on this release was an absolute gift. He is a brilliant vocalist and songwriter. He contributed something so powerful to this EP and working with him was the most smooth and pleasurable experience I have ever experienced with collaborators and vocalists. His intention, patience, hard work, beautifully talented, and unique vocal cords shine through this work, and I'm so honored to have him be a part of this project with me. “

“Converge” is Mia's newest vocal track that further diversifies her burgeoning signature sound through effortlessly weaving Fractures haunting vocals across a brooding foundation of melodic techno.  With fizzing, popping beats and soft-as-crushed-silk vocals, “Converge” is a fluid mix of late nineties club vibes and fresh immediacy. Sweetly melancholic lyrics from Fractures are like a warm current rising through deep cyan water, while shimmers of atonal cymbal and synth dust the whole affair with a fine sparkle. A dreamy feel of summers remembered, gorgeously cut with Mia’s signature nuance and intuition.

Also on the EP, “One” is a sultry instrumental delivery that is simultaneously driving and atmospheric. Bubbling up from an intense bassline, the track’s progression whisks listeners along like a night-time river, reflecting shards and chips of cosmos. A gloss of spacey synths throws pearlescent pastel shades behind the moody movement under your feet. In this track, Mia’s thoughtful handling of positive and negative space fashions a rich journey through varying shapes and shades, breath and intensities. Founded under the concept of ‘oneness’, she crafted an instrumental that dives into the depths of personal growth and existential philosophy. Truth and connection are some of the tenants of Lauren’s musical inspirations that drive her artistic direction, “We all come here with a mission, a purpose, but at the end of it all, this purpose, most of the time, serves for something greater to our understanding,” she shares. In the hopes of creating music that unifies the soul, she looks towards her musical outputs creating a rippling effect amongst listeners that further her vision of exacting life’s greater truths.

The ‘Eternal Existence’ EP is Lauren Mia’s sophomore release via Luna Semara’s Petit Matin imprint, following up her recent late-March single “Ohm”.  This is Lauren’s third release of 2022, with her collaboration “Existence” with Stil & Bense having been released via German label Ritter Butzke at the top of March. “This EP was by far the most challenging project I’ve worked on, in terms of being able to properly convey the sonic message I so deeply intended to.” She shares. “After many revisions of this project and lots of time and intention, I finally had a finished product that I felt the world was ready to hear.”

The ‘Eternal Existence’ EP is a boundary-pushing release for Mia that drives her sound to a new level. Having cut her teeth in the studio and behind the decks, the spotlight continues to move towards and stay in the direction of her earned artistic talent.
