Emerging Bean Town producer B Leafs has teamed up with some heavy hitters on his new single titled "MATATAN." The gritty record sees him recruiting the verbal assist of Massachusetts rappers Estee Nack, M-Dot, Codenine, and Al.Divino for an all-out verbal assault.
B Leafs cranks a mellow and moody backdrop made up of rumbling basslines, ominous strings, and punchy drum grooves for these hard-nosed rappers to do what they know best. The result is a mixed bag of styles and off-the-cuff lyrics. From Estee Nack's gruff style, Codenine's relaxed flow, M-Dot's punchy approach to Al Divino's choppy cadence, each emcee sure brings the goods. The use of gimmicky hooks is not needed here as the beat offers a short breakdown to transition from one emcee to the other.
