Montreal-based musician Erockfor [pronounced eh-ROCK-for] delivers her sophomore single "I Don't Want You Back" just a month after her single “I Thought You Loved Me.” The song continues the story of being betrayed by her husband and more importantly the aftermath where the singer has found the strength to move on from the past. She teams up with LA-based electronic music producer Blaire Michael whose crisp synth textures and punchy drum grooves help bolster Erickfor's evocative lyrics and commanding melodic runs.
"I Don't Want You Back" is taken from her forthcoming debut LP Phoenix which is set for an October release date. Erockfor will also be releasing a single every month till the due date so we should expect one more single in July.
After spending six years in the city of Seoul, South Korea, She is currently back in Montreal and working on the debut LP Phoenix which fuses afrobeats, pop, house, and jazz, and explores her journey between the time she left and now. Erockfor’s creative outlets also extend beyond music, as the Canadian Cameroonian native is also revered as a burlesque performer, actress, and published poet.
