M.anifest teams up with MOBO Award-nominated artist and producer JULS who crafts a percussion-heavy afrobeat backdrop laced with smooth textures and heavenly guitar licks to match.
While the production has a happy and bright aesthetic, M.anifest flips the script to reflect on something more profound and somewhat gloomy instead. Armed with his characteristic care-free flow and evocative lyrics, he paints a clear picture of life in the modern city of Accra. From the underbelly of the slums to the skyscrapers and tro-tro (commercial vehicles), the rapper draws listeners deep into the conversation of how the hustle and bustle can change us all. Everyone is in a haste and we don't even take time to smell the proverbial roses until it's too late but luckily for us, M.anifest is here to provide the calm and a not so gentle reminder for us to slow down our roll and just relax.
