If you’re new to Boys Get Hurt, get ready for the most adorably chill synth pop sounds. The Tokyo-based producer delivers a chic and sophisticated style that has appeared on labels like Continental, Kitsuné, and Toolroom Records. Inspired by nostalgia for summer and warm weather, Boys Get Hurt manages to capture the essence of the season by incorporating a sense of longing and comfort into his breezy productions. We’ve seen Yuki Abe of Boys Get Hurt team up with artist Tiago before—most recently on single “Only Midnight.” Back for another vibing tune, Boys Get Hurt features Tiago again for a track called “Between Us.”

Boys Get Hurt · Between Us

With dreamy, scintillating production and a bopping pace, “Between Us” brings an energy that’s laid back but also incredible danceable. It exudes a contagious feel-good that compliments the sweetness in Tiago’s vocals. Then you bring lyrics like “I don’t need no space from you” coupled with Tiago singing about how he can “be the one that you can run to,” and it’s easy to quickly become enamored by this cuteness. Since this isn't their first collaboration, it surely won't be their last. Be sure to follow along and look for Boys Get Hurt and Tiago’s “Between Us” out now via Japanese label VLS.
