LA-based artist Josefine is swiftly becoming the next big thing in pop, and rightly so. Born and raised in Stockholm, and a graduate of prestigious Rytmus Music High School whose alumni include the likes of Robyn, Tove Lo and Icona Pop, her trajectory has been on the incline ever since her emergence two short years ago.

On her first single of the year, "Goddess Kinda Power," Josefine articulates the ongoing conversation regarding feminism as an empowering and uplifting battlecry. She explains in an email statement, "I wanted to create an anthem for all girls and women to really honour their internal power to overcome any situation or any odds. Inspired by the events of International Women's Day and a rising feminism movement, this track was a calling for me to speak my truth and really put a composition together with real meaning and direction for every girl and woman listening out there."

Sharp piano chords ignite the track, imbuing a sense of timeless pop nostalgia and giving us a taste of what's to come. As it sweeps into the verse, all but the kick and bass is stripped away, urging the spotlight to the vocal, which masterfully fluctuates focus between melody and rhythm. The piano returns to increase the anticipation for the chorus, where "Goddess Kinda Power" truly spreads its wings, unfurling into an addictive bop, and a bop with a strong and valuable message to boot.

In conjunction with this release, Josefine has launched a campaign to unite, educate and uplift women within the music industry and as entrepreneurs. On Wednesday the 7th of April at 7-10PM GMT / 3-6 PM EST / 12-3PM PST / 6-9AM AEDT, she presents "Women in Music – Goddess Power Unite," a Club House event hosting an array of the greatest female talent and creatives within the music industry, as well as bringing attention to the incredible charity and work carried out by Girls Out Loud – more information on the campaign can be found here, with access to the event through this link.

The speakers will include Jane Kenyon (Serial Entrepreneur and CEO of Girls Out Loud NGO), Angela Mastronardi (Senior Sync Exec @ Sony Music Pub UK), Shelia DeMoura (Heroic Management w/ San Holo, DROELOE Taska Black), Lauren Mikkor (Post Modern Collective: Running Touch and Adult Art Collective, Tarina Doolittle (Creative @: Blackbear, Kat Dahlia, ModSun, Fly by Midnight), Kristina Romaine (A&R & Consultant to UPC/Management to Liquid Todd [Sirius XM], Elley Duhe (Over 750M streams, Gryffin & Zedd Collaboration), Jades Goudreault (Over 4M streams), Erin Maher (Talent Buyer and Marketing Manager @ Beautiful Buzz), Janet Owji (Songwriter, A&R), Anna Yvette (Over 50M Streams: Monstercat & NCS), HÄANA (Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist), Crystal Aura (Female DJ Network), and Strybo (2M Streams: Magic Music, Tribal Trap).
