Bodega Bamz is "The King"

Spanish Harlem royalty Bodega Bamz is back with a new single "The King" for 2021. He recently put out an album Yams Heard This last summer and he is already back in the studio working on another one.

"The King" is an upbeat jam that repurposes a classic horn sample, which I believe everyone knows. The producer JonhBoy Beats delivers the goods with the anthemic horns, rumbling percussion-driven drums, and cinematic textures on this tune. Bamz is more than comfortable here and proceeds to wreck the mic with his characteristic high pitched vocals, fiery flow, and mix of English and Spanish to give it his own unique twist. The record also makes reference to his previously released songs "Where My Horns At" and d "El Rey!". In fact, he even interpolates a portion of the hook from the latter on here.

"The King," the lead single off his upcoming LP, El Camino.
