Maryland rap/soul trio Lo Village delivers their final single "Out The Window" which comes on the heels of their previous single "Terry Crews." Made up of siblings Ama and Kane Tabiri and Charles Tyler, the trio made their debut in 2016 with Last Summer and are currently working on a forthcoming album for 2021. The anthemic track is purposeful and channels the forward-thinking style of the trio as they tackle societal constructs that are deemed obsolete in this day and age.
Built on edgy electric guitars, cinematic textures, and rumbling triumphant drums, the trio jumps into the mix of things with insightful lyrics from Kane and Tyler, while Ama ties it all up with a breezy melodic hook. Lyrics like "Devout Christians clashing their crucifix, Big business and politicians in the mix/Ignorance is bliss after school watching 106" juxtaposes naivety and the contradictory nature of the system. To further clarify their stance, the group adds via email that recent events in America have culminated in the realization that a lot of what we were taught and societal norms are now “Out the Window”.
"Out The Window" is taken from Lo Village's forthcoming EP Lost In America due January 2021.
