JPEGMAFIA closes out 2020 with a new 9 track compilation simply titled EP!. The project is a collation of fan-favorite singles unveiled throughout the year and a few remixes to complete the mission. Tracks like "BALD" are thrown in the mix and "THE BENDS" which was released 6 months ago also make the cut.
The project opens up with "BALD" an upbeat track laced with shimmering nostalgic sounds and a very hyped up JPEGMAFIA dropping random bars like "Bald, I look like Ray Allen/ These niggaz make beats on big wheels, your force is not a challenge/for you can rap for shxt." As an artist, he sure is hard to box in, and tracks like "BODYGUARD" and "Cutie Pie" we hear two totally different styles. The man can rap his ass off and even playfully uses the autotune feature for far-out melodic runs as he goes against the norm. His beats are eclectic, atmospheric with a huge dose of nostalgia which also ties into his throwback references and off-the-cuff writing. Other stand out tracks include "BALD! Remix" featuring a fiery verse from Denzel Curry, the lead single “SUPER TUESDAY!” where he makes use of a dreamy orchestra sample that almost drowns out his vocals.
