PRO ERA'S CJ Fly has never shied away from Jamaican roots and on his new release titled "Bamboo Tree," he ditches the raps and delivers a patois-driven melodic performance.
The Flatbush emcee always threw in some reggae elements into his raps and to see him switch things up only shows how uber versatile he is. He takes us back to the sunny beaches with this lush and bouncy riddim bolstered by his melodic flow. CJ Fly is definitely in his element here and his performance is effortless and also pretty catchy too. Joining him on the track is dancehall singer Parris who also throws in his own smooth vocals for good measure. "Bamboo Tree" is a solid summertime dancehall jam that pays homage to thick melanated women and while autumn is in season, we really don't mind some sun-drenched vibes.
This is his first release since his sophomore album, RUDE BWOY.
