Franky Wah taps into nostalgia on "You're Not Alone"

Franky Wah has released his latest track, "You're Not Alone," as a celebration of a dance music classic alongside its original artist, Olive.

For the serious dance music fan, Olive's original "You're Not Alone" brings back memories. It's a timeless track whose vocal has remained evergreen, nostalgic in nature and of course, a reminder of its success as a #1 in the UK in 1997. Franky Wah does this legacy justice, bringing it into 2020 with a melodic progressive approach that highlights the original's importance to music history, and its ability to still fit in. "Last year, after making my debut at Hï Ibiza for Bodyworks, my friends and I all went back to our apartment for a pretty fun after-party – I had a moment of clarity during the night and put the original on and said, 'I’m going to remake this record’ , so
the following day that’s exactly what I did,” he says.

Franky Wah has been steadily building a repertoire of house music since 2018, with his last track "Come Together" gaining traction on BBC Radio 1. These releases along with "You're Not Alone" consistently show a reverence for house music history, as they preview his upcoming mixtap release, The Revival Vol. 1, that is due out May 29.

"You're Not Alone" is out via Ministry of Sound and is available for purchase on on Beatport.
