Lex Leosis follows up her last single "GEMINI" with a brand new jam "Ouzo," showcasing her knack for crafting relatable stories around the variables that come with blossoming relationships. With André Paxton's smooth guitar-driven west-coast styled funky beat as her backdrop, Leosis shares a familiar tale of heartache that comes after being strung along by someone she loved. The baritone-voiced emcee takes the listener through a revolving door of emotions from love at first sight to the inevitable goodbyes as she comes to terms with the reality.
As a true school emcee, Leosis delivers her verses in a very calm and easily approachable demeanor. The title "Ouzo" is a popular Greek dry anise-flavored aperitif that is very bitter in taste. Just like the truth, "Ouzo" is hard to swallow but sometimes you just have to step up to the plate and take that pill for your own sake. "Ouzo" is taken from Leosis's upcoming album Mythologies which is scheduled for release at the end of the month.
Leosis is a member of the Canadian all-women hip-hop group The Sorority and also a mentor in the Hamilton and Toronto hip-hop communities working as a lead facilitator for youth programs that teach kids to write, rhyme and rap.
