LolaBunz exposes fake individuals on "Shiesty"

Toronto emcee LolaBunz's newest release is the video for her single "Shiesty," and serves as the first single from her stable in 2020. As the song's name suggests, it dwells on fake friends and betrayal from supposed loved ones who claim to have your interests at heart. She delivers a calm performance over the lush trap-infused beat courtesy of Grammy-Winning Producer BricksDaMane (Drake, Yung Thug). She breaks down several scenarios where close friends have turned their backs on her and how that made her even stronger than ever. Always in her calm and collected vibe, LolaBunz brings a refreshing take on the subject and shows how she focuses her energy on things and people that matter.

The multidisciplinary act, spoken word artist, and entrepreneur really gets hands-on with bringing "Shiesty" to life as she teams up with director Ty Black while she plays a co-director role.  The visuals follow the theme of the song and cite individuals cutting shows and pulling shadowy moves behind the scenes while Lolabunz is portrayed as some type of omniscient figure who watches the situation from the outside looking in. The video also features many familiar artists in the video including rappers Black Sage and InnanaStar, comedian WatsWitAndy, Singers SINE, and Model Japhia Henry. "Shiesty" shows Lolabunz can switch things up if the need arises and displays her storytelling and insightful writing but she still keeps the pen sharp as ever.
