Ayanna Williams came to our attention when she dropped her debut EP Delicate some 2 years ago. She is now back to doing what she knows best with a brand new single "Try," which serves as the premiere record from her forthcoming sophomore EP. Williams switches up the vibe on this tune as she serves a nice mix of R&B and afro-fusion elements peppered with catchy harmonies. "Try" also sees her open up about giving love a second chance despite the hurt one might have experienced in the past.
The track has a bright uplifting feel with lush xylophones and a slowed down Afro dancehall groove that builds into a rousing chorus where Williams' shines with a commanding vocal performance. "Try" is off Ayana Williams' forthcoming EP Love Box, a short body of work that explores the Bronx, NY singer's desire for love while being a career-focused woman.
