Snakehips turn back the clock with breezy "Lost Tapes 2013-19" mix

London electronic duo Snakehips have released "Lost Tapes 2013-19," a breezy mix of original, unreleased material from the last 6 years that has thankfully escaped the dark, murky depths of their hard drive.

With exclusive edits of Fat Joe's "What's Luv," Ashanti's "Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)" and 50 Cent's "In Da Club," among others, "Lost Tapes 2013-19" is a 90's kid's dream. There's a good chance a number of the acapellas used appeared on a HitClip. It even includes a funky edit of Gym Class Heroes' prepubescent love anthem "Cupid's Chokehold," which remains as catchy as ever. The mix doesn't just brush cobwebs off of old tunes, however, as it also features reworks of more current songs, like "Midsummer Madness" by the 88rising collective of Joji, Rich Brian, Higher Brothers & AUGUST 08. In its entirety, "Lost Tapes 2013-19" stays true to Snakehips' groovy ways, blending bouncy electronic elements with velvety R&B sensibilities to bouncy effect.
