Behind the scenes, Usher co-signed Atlanta singer-songwriter Vedo established himself by writing songs for international superstars like Chris Brown and K-Pop groups EXO, Lay, NCT 127, and SHINee. Mostly known for co-writing Lil Dicky and Chris Brown's hit, "Freak Friday," Vedo now sets his sight as he ventures on a solo mission with his debut single, titled, "Yvette".
The track is a smooth romantic retelling of the urban love film "Baby Boy," where Vedo teams with up-and-coming singer Inayah Lamis, who embodies the Jodie character as both acts show two-sides of a toxic relationship. He enlists Inayah's sultry and aggressive vocals which he defines as unique. On why he chose Lamis, Vedo said the following “She had to be ghetto but classy, nasty but sexy. I needed a chick that could cuss me out! But when it’s all said and done, let it be known you ain’t goin’ nowhere.”
