California five-piece The Mowgli’s have recently evolved into something bigger and better than ever before. With the release of their new single "Fighting With Yourself" the band showcases their celebrated sound whilst flirting with the idea of transformation. Themes of change run deep through much of the new music, both sonically and lyrically.
The new single shows member Katie Jayne Earl taking lead vocals while highlighting the band’s personal love for 90’s pop-punk. Featuring gritty guitars, loud stomping percussion and explosive melodies, "Fighting With Yourself" demonstrates The Mowgli’s ability to produce fiery, dramatic music with lyrical depth. Guitarist/singer Josh Hogan shares, “Fighting With Yourself is all about taking a look in the mirror and accepting who you are. It's about owning the good and the bad and in-between, and moving forward”.
The accompanying visuals illustrate the epitome of fun, with a collage of clips of friends and fans singing and dancing carefree and innocently to their music. Which each release has proven is an inescapable feeling when listening to the Mowgli's.
The Mowgli’s have already achieved an impressive wrap sheet with performances on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, or even sold-out headlining shows across the nation and appearances at world-renowned festivals such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Bottlerock. They now prepare to embark on a co-headlining tour with New Politics and Plain White T’s. We're excited to have them back to releasing new tunes and can't wait to see it performed live.
