Nix Northwest caught our attention with his self-produced single "See U In The Morning." His style of music is driven by the raw honesty and personal experiences that engulf him as a creative and on his debut 'Life's a Bitch, I Just Need An Early Night', he takes the listener on a sonic mission of self-discovery and growth over soothing ear-grabbing instrumentals.
The nine-track body of work starts on a light note with the song "Early Rising" where Nix slowly introduces himself to the listener with a vivid description of his current state of mind. Backed by a smooth summery backdrop, he doesn't mince his words and lets his intentions known from the jump. The following cut "Paradise Pending" has a more reflective feel and follows the young artist as he meanders through the day. Other cuts such as "Life's a Bitch" and "I Just Need An Early Night" sees the London artist embody the spirit of being true to one's self regardless of what others think. We as individuals may critically look at our failings but that shouldn't hold us back from growing, that is exactly the lesson Nix is delivering.
