Multi-talented SoCal native Josh Dominguez recently put out his newest project 'The Current EP', a six-track body of work that showcases a myriad of styles. Today, Dominguez shares with us the music video for "2 AM", the third single off the aforementioned project.
The song is another collaboration between Dominguez and producer Ariano who provides the ominous canvass. In turn, Dominguez engages the listener with a gripping tale of sex, euphoria and a haunting past. The moodiness of the track is also accentuated by Dominguez's melodic flow delivered in a rapid manner. For the self-directed visual, he takes us to a trippy West Coast locale alongside two mysterious characters who help flesh out the psychedelic tale. The narrative plays out alongside the track’s lyrics that depict a young man who sounds intent on knowing what he wants—but what does he want, really? Love? His childhood? There’s a lot to unpack here, and it’s thrilling to watch how it unfolds.
The video was edited by Almog Avidan Antonir, with Wackoe Films handling photography, and Gifted Glitch providing the sharp visual effects.
