Culture Wars face the inevitable in “Let Me Down”

Synth-rockers Culture Wars release their latest single entitled “Let Me Down”. The track showcases raw passionate vocals atop slick electronic soundscapes glistening with punchy guitars. “Let Me Down” was recorded in Texas with producer Robert Sewell at the remote Sonic Ranch Studios outside of El Paso, as well as the famous Arlyn Studios and mixed by Manny Marroquin (Kanye West, Imagine Dragons).

At Sonic Ranch the band was able to reflect on the everyday routine and recognize what’s important. “Let Me Down” represents one of those extraordinary moments of clarity. Singing in the chorus, “I’m just waiting for you to let me down. So get all the way. Get all the way down”, the song seamlessly captures the aching feeling in your gut when you know something isn’t meant to last and coming to terms with that.

The Austin rock trio, consisting of lead vocalist Alex Dugan, Mic Vredenburgh on guitar and electronics, and David Grayson on drums is known for their brooding style of synth-pop. With songs about societal ills and searching for solutions, Culture Wars unite in a common goal of bringing people together and igniting conversations. The trio has performed alongside prominent acts such as Robert DeLong, Metric, Naked Giants, The Struts and Albert Hammond Jr. Take a listen to their infectious, danceable hit.
