It's May, we're almost halfway through 2019 and summer is within touching distance. As the nights get longer and the weather (hopefully) gets warmer, the deluge of summer anthems are coming in thick and fast. Today we have arguably one of my favourite tunes of the year, the infectious pop banger "Naked Alone" by new British talent L Devine.
Originally from the North of England, but currently residing in the nation's capital, L Devine is highly touted to be the next big thing from the British shores. Having been championed by BBC Introducing and The Guardian, Devine's rise to stardom is taking off rapidly. Backed by a contagious instrumental provided by Swedish production duo INDIIA, the British songstress pens a poignant anthem to being lonely in a new city, and just wanting the casual touch of another human at night time. Everything about this song is catchy, from the sing-a-long chorus, to the clever lyricism of the verses, "Naked Alone" might just be the summers biggest pop hit.
