If you don’t know his name by now, it’s time to familiarize yourself with GoPager. While he has played behind the scenes roles writing and producing for others; it’s clear why GoPager needs to be in front of the camera. The DMV artist is following up his previous single, “Fanta Gymnastics” which saw a sizable amount of success. Sticking to what made his previous single go crazy, “Hardaway” is a more bass-heavy track which works well in tandem with GoPager’s laid back flow. Clearly, GoPager has found his lane musically, which may be why he chose to go back and connect with Yung Glizzy for the beat. The song’s bounce meshed with GoPager’s flow and bars makes it an easy track to vibe to.

“Hardaway” is a nod to legendary basketball player, Penny Hardaway. This is something apparent in the hook, “I ball the hard way, I call it Hardaway/What’s that scent you smell? / Trap money all day.” This new drop is a step up from, “Fanta Gymnastics” which is a testament to how GoPager continues to grow.
