Vacherie, Louisiana native Rakim Sirrah makes a big statement today with this powerful music video tackling the issue of substance abuse. "The Meaning" explores how we can be tricked into weighing our values differently as we journey through life.

Dennis Films directed this video that follows the growth of "The Meaning". The AA meeting is so clear and vivid contrasted to the chaotic effects used during the motel scene. Seeing double and changes in time awareness are physical effects of alcohol abuse and are used in the video's treatment to paint the picture of pain. The slow strings are the star of the production bringing enough emotion to be played by themselves. With the addition Rakim detailing the resilience of a young man finding is own amongst a world of temptation, this track will require your undivided attention.

Rakim leaves viewers with a note at the end of the video detailing how he feels on substance abuse with the fleeting words of "Never let your dreams and imaginations fade away." For a look at the lighter side of Rakim's music check out his last music video for "Soul Food" which pulls a seat up at the table for the viewer and highlights his Louisiana background. Continue following at the links below as Rakim looks to drop his debut project nocturnalsunshine067 soon.
