Arms Akimbo release their latest single “Cruel Lovers," garage indie rock at its finest. The track features grungy acoustic guitar, solid drum beats and strong passionate vocals with an effortless clear tone. The single narrates a relationship in constant turmoil. In a nonstop battle, "Cruel Lovers" details a feeling of wanting to know it’s all going to be okay despite the constant conflict, its an inner battle to find assurance.

“We try not to write a series of songs that sound too much like each other. So when writing this record, we started with this one and it essentially ticked a box that allowed us to move on and feel satiated with our “rock song” and able to poke around in some other genre-inspired elements,” lead singer Schrupp confides.

Reminiscent of early Weezer, Los Angeles natives Arms Akimbo met in college and bonded over similar musical tastes. Soon after they released a self-produced EP, Vignettes, that rapidly raised them to popularity in Southern California. Since then they’ve opened for notable bands such as Walk The Moon, The Animals and Said The Whale. The indie rock four-piece is comprised of Peter Schrupp, Christopher Kalli, Matthew Sutton and  Colin  Boppell. Known for their vibrant vocals, infectious lyrics and catchy energizing melodies, Arms Akimbo's highly anticipated EP Seven Dollar Paycheck provides just that and is releasing everywhere April 19.
